It would be a pleasure to be your hosts!

Gut Enghagen – a family business

We, the Schmidleitner family, along with our small team, run the Hotel Gut Enghagen with a lot of love and dedication – so that you and your children can feel completely at ease and spend an unforgettable family or riding holiday here! Here you can get to know your hosts a little better ...

Manfred Schmidleitner

In 1994 I took over the business from my parents. I take care of agriculture and forestry and our Angus cattle herd. In the summer I take our guests on a family hike of our beautiful area or lead the occasional horse ride.
In winter you will find me at our own ski lift where I will take care of both your sporting and creature comforts. In the evening I will happily pour you a schnapps at the bar or in our traditional "Stüberl" ...

Christa Schmidleitner

I have also been here since 1994. I look after the reception, where I am always there to answer your questions and fulfill your wishes! In addition I coordinate the team so that everything is taken care of during your holiday!
My favourite place in the region is the Stummerkogel mountain with its beautiful views. Using my Nordic walking sticks I can be there in 45 minutes. And you?

Barbara Schmidleitner

I am the daughter of Manfred & Christa and I've been working permanently in the team since 2008. I care for our horses and 4 pigs and am responsible for everything fun that happens outside in the fresh mountain air: in summer for the riding business (from May-October) and in
winter I am the ski instructor at our hotel ski lift. With the help of the guests I also fish for trout in our grandma's pond. I'm also involved in the children's activity programme, for example I tell the children's stories in the hay loft, supervise the children's table at dinner time and have lots of fun with the kids!
My favourite place is our alpine pasture! I can really relax there and enjoy the peace ... I'll happily take you there on a horse ride!

Kerstin (Service staff)

I grew up in Roßleithen and often played at the Gut Enghagen as a child, while my mother worked as service staff here. Now I myself, as a trained restaurateur, have been working here as service staff since June 2012 – mostly in the mornings because I have a small son.
My favourite pleasures in the winter? Of course building snowmen or skiing with my little boy. In the summer I enjoy going swimming at the Gleinkernsee.

Mira (Chambermaid)

I am originally from Serbia, where I learned to be a seamstress. I have been working as a chambermaid at Gut Enghagen for 5 years. I especially enjoy making the children's beds, that I decorate lovingly with their toys and teddy bears.
My favourite place is the Wurbauerkogel with the national park lookout tower. I enjoy my free time there now and then and reward myself with an ice-cream!

Vroni (Chambermaid)

I find it great that we have so many children as guests at Gut Enhagen, as I have two children myself. Therefore I only work mornings as a chambermaid. I have been part of the hotel team since 2005 and I live very close by, in the neighbouring community of St. Pankraz.
In my free time I enjoy driving to Windischgarsten for an ice-cream or enjoying the peace in the sunshine.

Simon (Apprentice chef)

I have dreamed about becoming a chef since I was a little boy. In July 2012, at the age of 15, I began working at Gut Enghagen as an apprentice chef. I have been very warmly welcomed into the team. I especially like the fact that we cook with high quality, healthy ingredients at Gut Enhagen and that we prepare our own meat from "happy cows".
When I have free time I enjoy flying my model aeroplane or going fishing.

Aom (Masseuse)

I have been working at Gut Enghagen since April 2012 and would like to warmly welcome you to the spa area of the hotel.
My name is Wimonporn Hörandtner but please just call me Aom. I come from Thailand and trained at the well known Royal Thai Massage School "Wat Pho" the over 3000

years old and proven craft of traditional Thai massage or Thai-yoga massage.
